About

Meet Skye

Good nutrition care is about so much more than scientific evidence alone. While research provides the foundation for every recommendation I make, I believe the most meaningful and effective care begins by taking the time to truly understand the person behind the appointment. Every individual brings their own story, experiences, challenges and hopes for the future, and those are just as important as any test result or diagnosis.

As a Clinical Nutritionist, University Educator and Health Writer, I've spent my career helping clients and students navigate the often overwhelming world of nutrition and health. Whether I'm sitting alongside a client in consultation, teaching future health professionals or translating emerging research into practical educational resources, my goal is always the same: to make nutrition science feel understandable, approachable and relevant to everyday life.

Whilst the science matter, I believe the best care begins by listening, asking questions and taking the time to understand the bigger picture before making recommendations. My role isn't simply to provide advice, but to help you understand the reasons behind every recommendation, so you feel informed, supported and confident in the decisions you make for your health. Every consultation is an opportunity to work together to find an approach that reflects not only the latest evidence, but your life, your priorities and what matters most to you.

Professional Experience

Over the years, my career has extended well beyond the consultation room. Through clinical practice, academia, health writing and public health advocacy, I've had the opportunity to contribute to nutrition in a variety of ways. Together, these experiences continue to shape the way I practise today and the care I provide to every client

Public Health & Advocacy

My clinical nutrition career spans more than two decades of consulting with individuals across Australia and internationally. Throughout this time, I've remained committed to continual professional development, completing multiple postgraduate qualifications to ensure my clinical knowledge remains current, evidence-based and relevant to modern practice.

My academic career included lecturing, leading clinical education, supervising students during their professional placements, and developing curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate nutrition programs. Through these roles, I have helped educate many of today's Clinical Nutritionists, teaching clinical nutrition, nutritional diagnosis, obesity management, medicinal foods and lifespan nutrition, while supervising clinical practicums and co-developing two postgraduate university nutrition degrees.

My health writing career has focused on translating emerging nutrition research into practical, evidence-based information. I am currently completing The Comprehensive Guide to Nutrition and Lifestyle for Sperm Optimisation, due for publication soon. My work has also been published in The Sussex Times and Health Union's Endometriosis advocacy platform, helping make complex nutrition science more accessible to the wider community.

My public health nutrition career has provided a broader perspective on the challenges many individuals and families face in achieving good health. Through my roles as a Public Health Nutrition Facilitator and Board Secretary with Fundación Comer Mejor, I contributed to the development and implementation of childhood obesity prevention programs for vulnerable communities while gaining a deeper appreciation of the importance of practical, accessible nutrition education

Qualifications

In an increasingly complex field, I believe specialised clinical knowledge should be built on formal education as well as clinical experience. My postgraduate qualifications reflect many years of commitment to expanding my expertise across the areas of health in which I practise, ensuring the care I provide remains informed by both advanced tertiary study and current scientific evidence.
